* Piping Plover Watch (White Point Beach Resort)

  • White Point Beach Resort 75 White Point Beach Resort Road Hunts Point, NS, B0T 1G0 Canada (map)

For the 6th year in a row, we are proud to be a host beach for a nesting pair of Piping Plovers, an endangered species. Bring your binoculars and cameras, follow and respect the signage on our beach to observe these beautiful birds. Our nest, if successful, will have hatched and it’s likely you’ll be able to see our new family! Throughout the week at low tide, be sure to join our Plover Steward in staff, Wendy Coolen for an informative shoreline stroll and bird watching experience.

Drop by the interpretive display in the Main Lodge, on load to us by Parks Canada and check out the artwork inspired by these little guys.

Please note that our Piping Plovers are here on our beach, and others in Nova Scotia from April – until mid August for their nesting season – keep your eyes open, you just might see them on signed beaches.
