Presented by the Ocean Tracking Network
Meeting Location: Horseshoe Island Park
Additional details: Join us for our Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup at the Northwest Arm and help us track our way to healthier oceans! The Ocean Tracking Network (OTN) is a worldwide aquatic tracking network, headquartered at Dalhousie University.
OTN’s mission is to gather information on the behaviour, movement and distribution of aquatic animals to advance the conservation and sustainable use of marine and freshwater species.
OTN tracks over 150 keystone, commercially important and endangered species, but on April 28, we want to track (and remove) the waste on our shoreline to help maintain the habitats of animals in our ocean!
Have questions about the cleanup? Contact the Site Coordinator through the event page on your Shoreline Cleanup account.
If you are no longer able to make the event, you can unregister from the cleanup through your Shoreline Cleanup account.
Thank you for making a difference on local shorelines!
