Debris or not Debris: A Weaving Workshop

An example of Mimi's work from a previous workshop held in Halifax, Nova Scotia

Join us on Saturday, June 10th, from 230-430PM at the Discovery Centre for a marine debris weaving workshop. This workshop is *FREE* and is open to all. Everyone is encouraged and welcome to attend!

We will be using discarded rope and materials from a recent local beach clean up, the annual McNab's Island Beach Clean up. As a collective, we will weave and construct a large tapestry art piece using the marine litter.

The final product will be unveiled on the evening of Sunday, June 11th, at Lion & Bright Cafe and Wine Bar.

About Mimi

Mimi Audellynn is a self-taught fibre artist & a self-love advocate.
She is a perpetual collector with a nomadic habit. As a permanent part-time Haligonian, she is very involved in the community and is currently the Events Coordinator at Lion & Bright.
Authentic, intuitive, and at times intimidating, Mimi is a budding facilitator of the feminine.
She has a hard time answering questions such as: 'what do you do?' & 'where are you from?'. she will answer, of course, but make sure you have something to snack on first.
